VALENTIN POPOV

Valentin Popov originally trained as a printmaker in Russia. His work reflects the dedication to understanding all of art history, while creating his own unique interpretation of the fine arts. Working in a variety of mediums, such as collage, monotypes, printmaking, and painting, Mr. Popov explores the juxtaposition of these traditional mediums with modern insight. His expertise has received critical acclaim in numerous publications throughout the US and abroad. Valentin Popov has works in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, a mark of distinction for an artist at mid-career.
